GAME STORY
My favourite gaming story is actually very recent! I played a game of Mordheim where my warband (or team) was a band of unhinged orcs and goblins who happened to have a funny rule that many in the Warhammer community are familiar with: Animosity. On turn one, one of my goblin archers failed his animosity, and, without taking a single step forward, shot one of his orc overlords in the gut for insulting his favourite squig. This doomed game ended as it started; three of my goblins continuously failed animosity checks, shouting and pushing each other in the middle of the battlefield while my orcs fought for their lives without help against their Nurgle-cursed foes. To make matters worse, because the goblins weren’t tending to the squigs (a war-animal that is halfway between a rabid dog and a frog), two of them went wild, one of them chomping on one of my remaining orc champions, causing him to have to turn his back on the enemy. I inevitably lost the game, and because two of my unruly goblins got promoted (Lads got Talent!), they were immediately squished by the remaining orcs who survived, letting them vent out their brutish frustrations on 2 of the 3 goblins who seemed to be getting too-big-for-their-britches. As it turns out, my orcs and goblins were excellent killers, they even did more damage to each other than any enemy ever could! All in all, it was a good proper dust-up wiv da ladz….hur hur hur….
