I am passionate about helping clients process their emotions and exploring new adaptive coping skills to help individuals live a more fulfilling life.
Why I Volunteer: I volunteer with No Gamer Left Behind because I believe in the unique power that playing tabletop and board games can have on people. Games have a wonderful way of engaging the mind and supporting mental health, and they promote face-to-face social interaction in a time where we are surrounded by screens.
I’ve been playing games on and off all of my life. My favourite game is Icarus because of its amazing ability to make anyone a storyteller and how simple it is to play.

Why I Volunteer: The hobby has been an immense support in my life ever since leaving the military. I find peace and comfort in painting miniatures and believe it is an exceptional hobby for those who have served, have disabilities, or simply need a creative outlet to connect with others.
Role: Special Advisor – Neurodivergent Community Relations
Profession: Public Servant
Favourite Game: Battlefleet Gothic
Favourite Miniature Model: Games Workshop’s the Green Knight. Even before I knew what tabletop gaming was I saw that miniature in a magazine and was hooked.
Started the Hobby in: I began playing Warhammer 40,000 when I was 12 years old. I was immediately hooked by the amazing miniatures that brought this whole wide universe to life and have been amassing mighty armies of miniatures ever since.
Best Gaming Memory: The Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy campaign, that I was DMing, ending in a cataclysmic explosion after a player rolled two critical failures in a row trying to defuse an enormous bomb at the climax of a session. The spaceship the players were aboard was obliterated and all of the characters went to meet the Emperor. A perfect ending to the campaign.
Why I Volunteer: Like many gamers I am neurodivergent and for many years struggled to reconcile my love for tabletop gaming and miniatures with who I thought I should be to fit in. As I grew older, I found that the more I opened up about my passion for painting and gaming with others the more comfortable I became with myself and the closer I became with the people in my life. I want other people to have that same experience of belonging. I love nothing more than introducing people to a new game and having a great time full of equal parts mayhem and laughter. Mostly, I want to bring a positive, upbeat, inclusive, and fun-first attitude to all of the games that I play and run. Winning is a good time but the real magic of tabletop gaming is pushing lovingly painted miniatures across a table, creating an exciting story, and being among friends.
