No.2 Battalion

POST EXCERPT

In partnership with Wargames Atlantic, No Gamer Left Behind is bringing the story of Canada’s No. 2 Construction Battalion to life through hands-on miniature workshops. Discover how history, creativity, and community come together to honour a powerful legacy—and how you can be part of it.

Funded by Veterans Affairs Canada and designed in collaboration with Wargames Atlantic, the, No Gamer Left Behind project, No. 2 Construction Battalion cadet workshop series represents a profound chapter in Canadian history. As the first all-black battalion, it embodied the strength of men who fought for the right to serve their country in the face of systemic racism.

When printing and painting these miniatures, you are preserving the legacy of Canada’s “Black Battalion” and their vital role in shaping the frontlines of the Great War. Each figure serves as history in your hands, a tangible tribute, to their labour, their dignity, and their enduring contribution to history.

No Gamer Left Behind will be using these 3D printed models to run workshops with Cadets, Students, and various groups to promote the history of this unique battalion. These workshops will not only educate the attendees with proud historic moments but with instill vital artistic skills and build self confidence for their create expression.

Our average cost to run a workshop is $20 per participant which includes the model and hobby supplies. To make a donation to support workshops like these please click here to open our secure donation portal.
